Welcome to North Shore Dance Studio
NSDS is a family-run dance studio where students of all ages can explore movement and expression under the care and support of experienced teachers.
This can be a journey towards an internationally recognised certification (RAD), a way to build fitness, confidence and discipline, or simply the opportunity to express yourself, make some new friends, and have some fun!
We teach ballet (3 years to adults), jazz, hip-hop, k-pop, contemporary, Senior Swans, PBT, musical theatre and singing from our main studio in Wairau Valley, as well as from Silverdale,Torbay and Northcote (for HASCA members).

A Passion for Dance
Owner Debbie de Beer is dedicated to inspiring others to love ballet and musical expression.
She understands that not every child will become a budding ballerina or pursue a career in the arts, but she firmly believes the lessons learned through training, choreography, and performance stay with them, enriching their daily lives and careers.
Committed to making dance accessible to all, Debbie strives to create a safe, friendly, and supportive environment where students can learn without judgment and be treated with fairness and respect.
Born in Durban, South Africa, Debbie began dancing at the age of three under the guidance of her mother, who continues to teach and judge internationally. She trained in ballet (RAD), modern/jazz, tap (AIDT), Spanish dance, and even a bit of ballroom. By the time she was a young teenager, she was already teaching, choreographing and competing.
Her studio offers an end-of-year demonstration where every child has the chance to perform on stage.
We're All About Fun – Let's Dance!
